Schematronic is a python-based XML/XSLT/SQL application engine.

Specifics

Similar to the Cocoon concept of XML processing pipelines, Schematronic uses Nexista style sitemaps and configuration to map uri's to resources. Its that simple.

While developers have the choice to map whatever resources they like, a common practice is to connect XML data with XSL stylesheets. The XML data can be generated in a variety of ways, from static XML documents to RDBMS result sets.

Status

As of June 2008, Schematronic is functional, but still in alpha stage. We should have a beta ready to share in a few weeks in mid-July. In the meantime, feel free to peruse the trac.
